Child Care Provider Retention Initiative

Financial assistance has been provided through the successful application for an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant.  Eligible child care workers and regulated family child care providers can qualify for an annual Retention Bonus of either $1,000 or $2,000.  Reimbursements are also available for eligible start-up costs for new group child care centers and new regulated family providers.

Dream Up! Grant

The Dream Up! Grant was approved by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and will support providers by providing $5,000 per provider to support professional development, classroom manipulatives, mental health training, technology for classrooms, and classroom supplies. This does not allow for capital improvement or anything over $5,000.

A mobile learning lab was created in partnership with local high school career and technical education students and is filled with “Farm to Early Childhood” curriculum kits for use by providers.
